This year's status report shows that the goal of 50 percent emissions reduction by 2030 is still within reach.

To ensure adequate follow-up of the climate strategy and the 2030 and 2050 GHG emission reduction goals , KonKraft prepares an annual status report which presents progress through an analysis across the operating companies based on planned and potential emission-reducing measures and innovative projects for new value chains including offshore wind, CCS and blue hydrogen.

The Norwegian oil and gas industry can still cut emissions by 50 percent by 2030, but it has become even more challenging. The 2024 status report confirms that power from shore remains the measure with the greatest potential.

This years report also includes a timeline on the key changes in the EU`s climate and energy policy framework.
